About Chopperstylzz
Who is Chopperstylzz?
The Origin of a Visionary
Chopperstylzz is more than an artist — he is a story of survival turned into art. Born in Charlotte, NC, raised around creativity and discipline, his life took a sharp turn in 2017 when he was sentenced to federal prison for bank robbery.
Stripped of freedom, stripped of resources, and stripped of traditional canvases, most would have gone silent. Instead, Chopperstylzz discovered a voice.
Strength Through Adversity
Finding power in limitation
The Birth of Fedwear
When the prison ran out of canvases, he didn’t stop. He began cutting and stitching prison uniforms, transforming khaki fabric into works of rebellion, resilience, and myth.
Fedwear was born. Scarce by necessity. Scarce by history. Scarce forever.
Each piece carries not just paint, but a story — a reminder that art can’t be contained, even by prison walls.
A Larger-Than-Life Aura
Today, his work fuses:
- Sensual Pop Energy
Vibrant, magnetic figures that command attention and evoke emotion.
- Street Grit
- Cosmic Abstraction
Every brushstroke is fast, confident, and alive — a mirror of his past chaos and his present clarity.
Why Basel?
Art Basel Miami is more than an exhibition. It is Chopperstylzz stepping onto the world stage, presenting a body of work that can never be replicated once this chapter ends. Collectors, tastemakers, and visionaries will ask: ‘Who is Chopperstylzz?’ The answer is in the art itself.
“They tried to take away my canvas. Instead, I found my canvas in their uniforms. You can’t stop art. You can’t stop vision. You can only witness it.”
— Chopperstylzz

Who Is Chopperstylzz?
The Journey
From Confinement to Creation
“They gave me a uniform to make me invisible. I turned it into art to make sure I’d never be forgotten.”
— Chopperstylzz
The Birth of Fedwear
When traditional canvases ran out, Chopperstylzz saw opportunity where others saw limitation. Federal prison uniforms — symbols of institutional control and conformity — became the foundation for rebellion.
Each piece in the Fedwear collection represents a moment of transformation. Not just the transformation of fabric into art, but the transformation of constraint into freedom, silence into voice, and adversity into triumph.
The Art
The Philosophy
“The walls they built to contain me became the galleries that freed me. The uniforms they gave me to erase my identity became the canvases that defined it.”
— Chopperstylzz
